The Vet Service in Tinley Park, IL seeks a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to balance active clinical work with leadership over mentorship and clinical standards. You will mentor associates, drive performance discussions, and coordinate case standards with the Practice Manager on planning and compliance.

This role emphasizes coaching, communication, and developing a high-performing hospital culture focused on patient care and team growth.

Formación

• Minimum of two years of practical veterinary experience.
• DVM degree with an active Illinois veterinary licence in good standing.
• Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and motivate colleagues.
• Willingness to develop knowledge of hospital operations and financial performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a collaborative leadership approach.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain an active small animal caseload while setting a strong example for clinical quality.
• Guide associate veterinarians through performance discussions, coaching and individual development planning.
• Coordinate regular doctor meetings around case standards, new services and clinical improvement.
• Work alongside the Practice Manager on hospital planning, regulatory requirements and performance goals.
• Support mentorship and externship activity while contributing to veterinarian recruitment and retention.
