Job summary

The Vet Service in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary, 24-hour referral facility. This role focuses on complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries and collaboration with Critical Care and Emergency services.

You will lead procedures, plan comprehensive treatments, use advanced imaging, discuss options with clients, and contribute to education and clinical development within a national network of specialty

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Surgeon
• Experience in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery
• Ability to collaborate with Critical Care and Emergency teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
• Consult on referred cases and develop surgical plans.
• Partner with emergency and critical care teams for continuity of care.
• Utilize imaging and diagnostic tools to support outcomes.
• Communicate treatment options and prognoses to clients clearly.
• Maintain medical documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in continuing education, research, and peer collaboration.
