Job summary

The Wellstar Health System is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, scoring, and patient education.

Under supervision, you will calibrate equipment, collect data, generate reports, and ensure patient safety while adhering to AASM scoring standards and HIPAA privacy policies. A strong commitment to compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires NBRC SDS or RPSGT or RST credential.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Maintain certification in sleep technology and CEUs (10 CEUs).
• Ability to educate patients and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow protocols for sleep studies (MSLT, MWT, PAP titration).
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per guidelines (AASM).
• Generate accurate reports from sleep data.
• Educate patients about procedures and testing.
• Maintain equipment and infection control practices.
