Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Principal Site Supplier Quality Engineer for the Decatur, AL facility. You will lead supplier quality strategies, mentor analysts, and own containment and corrective actions while serving on the Change Implementation Board.

You will collaborate across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing and Operations to drive sustainable improvements and ensure supplier readiness for production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or product engineering in a high-volume environment.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills utilizing RCCA, 8D, A3, or CAPA methodologies.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and interpretation.
• Experience utilizing SPC and MSA methodologies.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish supplier quality processes and procedures for the Decatur plant.
• Drive improvements in supplier quality performance and reduce line disruptions and defects.
• Develop and communicate supplier failure analysis reporting for operational awareness.
• Lead the supplier billback process and report status to plant leadership.
