Job summary

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field and 6 years of experience in CI/CD quality gates.
  • 6 years of experience with observability platforms (NewRelic, CloudWatch, Grafana, DataDog).
  • 6 years of experience in AWS, CI/CD tooling, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in one of: C#, Java, Python; experience with AppSec tools (Veracode, CloudSploit, Data Theorem).

LEAD SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER

Job Description :

Lead Site Reliability Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Austin, Texas). Lead the implementation of IaC and automation with unit testing, quality gates, AppSec tooling, automated functional testing, and performance testing. Develop and maintain observability practices, including SLI, SLO, SLA, error budgets, dashboards, alerting, and notification systems. Create and manage runbooks, gamedays, postmortems, and incident response workflows. Engage with cross-functional teams that design, develop and implement enterprise scalable cloud-based solutions to drive improvement in SRE/DevOps best practices and tooling. Play a role in establishing best practices, supporting communities of practice, and promoting adoption within the engineering teams.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6 years of experience implementing quality frameworks with quality gates within a CI/CD framework.
  • Must have 6 years of experience in each of the following:
    • Working with observability platforms, including NewRelic, Cloudwatch, Grafana, or DataDog;
    • Working in AWS and CI/CD tooling and capabilities;
    • Using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation;
    • Working in one of the following programming languages: C#, Java, or Python; and
    • Working in AppSec tools, including Veracode, CloudSploit, or Data Theorem.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated.
  • Position reports to Austin, TX office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
  • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

Compensation includes a base salary of $167,177- $203,610. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

  • Flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations.
