Job summary

XYZ Reality is seeking a Lead Site Engineer in Charleston, West Virginia. You will lead and coordinate site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to quality and data standards on major construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of Site Engineers and Graduate Site Engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to company workflows, QA procedures, and standards.
  • Drive adoption of the XYZ platform with client teams.
  • Conduct progress tracking against BIM models using AR Device.
  • Perform on-site QA inspections and record findings.
  • Contribute to weekly coordination meetings with clients.
  • Monitor and resolve quality issues raised by the engineering team.
  • Coach Site Engineers to maintain high delivery standards.
  • Escalate risks or performance issues when necessary.

Introduction to XYZ

XYZ Reality are the creators of the world's first and only engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution, purpose built for the construction industry. Not only have we created this holographic technology, that sits within The Atom – a smart, site-safe headset/hardhat - but we implement it on projects, utilising the power of AR to ensure that all schemes are completed in line with the delivery timescales and budgets.

XYZ has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US & Europe and is working with Mission Critical organisations & construction companies to successfully deliver major projects.

Role Summary

The Lead Site Engineer is the senior field representative for XYZ Reality on a project. They are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the site team, ensuring all workflows and standards are followed, and acting as the primary point of coordination between the site team, and the client.

Alongside leadership responsibilities, the Lead will also perform core Site Engineer tasks including progress capture and quality inspections on a daily basis alongside the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of Site Engineers and Graduate Site Engineers on the project.
  • Ensure all team members follow company workflows, QA procedures, and data capture standards.
  • Drive adoption of the XYZ platform among client teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct progress tracking against BIM models using XYZ’s Augmented Reality Device – The Atom.
  • Perform on-site QA inspections and record findings within the XYZ platform.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly coordination meetings with the client to review quality issues and progress.
  • Monitor quality issues raised by the engineering team and ensure they are reviewed and closed out by the client.
  • Provide coaching and support to Site Engineers to maintain high delivery standards.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, or performance issues to project management when necessary.
