Job summary

XYZ Reality is seeking a Lead Site Engineer to act as the senior field representative on major US construction projects. You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate between the site team and the client, and ensure QA and data capture standards are met.

You will perform progress capture, QA inspections, and daily coordination with the client, while coaching junior engineers to maintain high delivery standards. Travel and relocation opportunities may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on large scale construction projects.
• Experience supervising or coordinating small teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and client stakeholders.
• Comfortable using digital construction tools and new technologies.
• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Suite).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of Site Engineers and Graduate Site Engineers on the project.
• Ensure all team members follow company workflows, QA procedures, and data capture standards.
• Drive adoption of the XYZ platform among client teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct progress tracking against BIM models using XYZ’s Augmented Reality Device – The Atom.
• Perform on-site QA inspections and record findings within the XYZ platform.
• Attend and contribute to weekly coordination meetings with the client to review quality issues and progress.
• Monitor quality issues raised by the engineering team and ensure they are reviewed and closed out by the client.
• Provide coaching and support to Site Engineers to maintain high delivery standards.
• Escalate risks, blockers, or performance issues to project management when necessary.

Role Summary

The Lead Site Engineer is the senior field representative for XYZ Reality on a project. They are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the site team, ensuring all workflows and standards are followed, and acting as the primary point of coordination between the site team, and the client.

Alongside leadership responsibilities, the Lead will also perform core Site Engineer tasks including progress capture and quality inspections on a daily basis alongside the rest of the team.
