Job Description Summary

As related to customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a Lead Site Planner for GE Vernova's Hydro Power North America division. In this role, you will plan and coordinate construction activities for major hydropower projects, develop and manage detailed schedules (level 5) using Primavera P6, and record planned versus actual performance of construction activities.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain detailed site schedules (level 5), integrating construction activities, resource allocation, and critical milestones using Primavera P6.
• Track earned value and project scope change impacts to baselined schedules and s-curves.
• Ensure alignment of site schedule with internal planning standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including site crew, project managers, engineers, and contractors, to gather relevant project information and ensure accurate scheduling.
• Analyze synoptics and technical documents to identify risks in the L5 schedule.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to establish realistic project timelines, considering technical constraints, resources, and external factors.
• Monitor and track project progress, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.
• Communicate project schedules and updates to stakeholders effectively and timely.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Proven experience as a Site Planner in the construction industry, with at least 2 years of on-site planning experience for industrial projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 for creating and managing project schedules and resources.
• In-depth knowledge of construction planning, scheduling principles, techniques, and methodologies.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and interdependencies between activities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to mitigate scheduling conflicts and risks.

Eligibility Requirements

• Proficiency in English communication.
• Willingness to travel to work sites as needed (up to 100%), subject to rotational schedules.
