Job summary

Community Care ME seeks a Direct Support Respite Professional (DSRP) to provide planned respite care for children with disabilities and support families in home or community settings. You will oversee site-based respite, develop care plans with families, and ensure logs and certifications are maintained.

The role requires compassionate teamwork, adherence to policies, and regular site-based duties including weekday and weekend coverage. 18+ and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to children based on the Respite Plan.
• Assists children with positive behavior and well-being.
• Exercises good judgment.
• Provides services as scheduled.
• Supports and guides DSRPs at the site when respite is provided.
• Works on site one weekday and one weekend day weekly, 8am–5pm.
• Develops respite care plans with each parent/caregiver.
• Completes Respite Daily Logs within 24 hours.
• Maintains Level 2 DSRP certification and required trainings.
• Follows agency policies and participates in meetings and trainings.
