Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Production Supervisor for Silicon Assembly (Starlink) to lead a high-performance team in insourcing custom ICs and packages from prototype to high-volume production. You will partner with engineering, supply chain, and operations in a fast-paced cleanroom to deliver on aggressive timelines and quality targets while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety-critical systems, mechanical assemblies, automated equipment, and multi-axis heavy equipment.
• Formal team leadership experience in manufacturing/test environments.
• Experience in semiconductor back-end cleanroom environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of manufacturing specialists, technicians, and maintenance personnel for process development, qualification, reliability, and high-volume ramp.
• Own safety performance and ensure training compliance.
• Develop and mentor team members through training, performance management, and succession.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, and other tools to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Develop and execute daily production plans based on constraints and commitments.
• Analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and lead root cause analysis (5Y, 8D, A3).
• Take corrective actions to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering on design for manufacturability and process standardization.
• Act as primary technical decision-maker for production, efficiency, and personnel matters.
