Job summary

STR's Sensors Division seeks a Lead Signal Processing Researcher to lead teams that develop, test, and demonstrate novel signal processing, optimization, and ML algorithms for electronic warfare and sensing systems.

You will direct modeling and simulation of RF systems, plan algorithm test & evaluation in lab and field, and communicate results clearly to customers, sponsors, primes, and subcontractors. This role requires active security clearance and advanced degrees in EE or related fields.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance required.
• PhD/MS/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong programming skills in Matlab, Python, Simulink and/or C/C++.
• Ability to translate customer requirements to research focus.
• Ability to present deep technical briefings to customers and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronic warfare and radar system concepts, signal processing and ML algorithms.
• Provide technical leadership to small, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Direct Modeling and Simulation activities of advanced RF systems.
• Plan and support algorithm test and evaluation in lab and field environments.
• Communicate clearly with customers, sponsors, primes and subcontractors.
