Altera seeks a Signal Processing Specialist Field Applications Engineer to architect and deploy advanced signal processing solutions using FPGA and heterogeneous compute tech. You will bridge customer needs with sales and engineering to accelerate adoption across communications, defense, industrial, and AI-driven apps.

You will lead DSP, radar, imaging, and AI/ML integration discussions, guide design cycles from concept to deployment, and collaborate on reusable architectures and demonstrations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Signal Processing, or related STEM field.
• 10+ years in signal processing, communications, radar, RF, imaging or related domains.
• 10+ years developing FPGA-based or hardware-accelerated solutions.
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing concepts and implementation techniques.
• Experience with FPGA environments such as Quartus, Vivado, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or similar tools.
• Experience modeling and validating signal processing algorithms prior to hardware implementation.
• Ability to travel as required.

• Act as the primary technical advisor for signal processing applications utilizing FPGA solutions.
• Engage with customer engineering teams to understand requirements and recommend optimized architectures.
• Lead discussions on signal processing, radar, imaging, AI/ML inference, and RF systems.
• Guide customers through the design cycle from algorithm development to FPGA deployment.
• Support performance optimization and hardware acceleration strategies leveraging FPGA processing.
