Job summary

Altera is seeking a Signal Processing Specialist Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to act as a technical advisor, architecting and deploying high-performance signal processing solutions using Altera FPGA and heterogeneous compute platforms. The role spans engagement with customers, field sales, and engineering to accelerate adoption across defense, aerospace, and AI-driven applications.

Responsibilities include leading technical discussions, guiding design cycles from algorithms to FPGA

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Signal Processing or related STEM field.
10+ years in signal processing, radar, RF, imaging or related domains.
10+ years developing FPGA-based or hardware-accelerated solutions.
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++ or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Advise customers on signal processing architectures using Altera FPGA technologies.
Lead design discussions across signal processing, RF, radar, and AI/ML areas.
Drive opportunities with sales teams and guide from concept to deployment.
Develop reusable architectures, proofs-of-concept and reference designs.
Support optimization and hardware acceleration strategies on FPGA platforms.
