Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Principal Signal Integrity Engineer to lead high-speed I/O cable assembly design, analysis, and validation. You will work across datacenter, cloud, 5G, and enterprise applications, directing experiments, measurements, and debug activities.

You will regularly collaborate with west coast teams, mentor SI engineers, and drive cross-functional projects while traveling 10–20% to Nashua and customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic principles for digital signal integrity.
• Experience with SI/EM tools such as HFSS, Designer, CST Microwave.
• Experience with SI measurements and debugging using TDR, VNA, and pattern generators.
• Leadership in SI development for high-speed cable or connector products.
• Ability to drive architecture and lead cross-functional SI investigations.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed electrical cable assemblies.
• Provide SI leadership, own major projects, and mentor new SI hires.
• Set up and maintain the local SI lab with measurements and validation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on next-gen high-speed I/O products.
• Engage with customers to debug SI issues and provide senior technical guidance.
• Support global factories during production ramp up and testing.
