  • Certified to drive sit down and standup forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor warehouse teams in workflows, QC, system prep and inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized shop and support other shop activity.
  • Package, label and prepare items for transportation and shows.
  • Document maintenance and QC in the inventory system; report damaged equipment.
  • Coordinate substitutions or shortages with operations; load/unload trucks.

The Lead Shop Technician is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day quality control (QC) of CT owned equipment. This position is responsible for quality control (QC) of all gear and the preparation of equipment for outbound shows in our warehouse. The role includes managing equipment maintenance, coordinating the preparation and organization of gear, and ensuring that the department operates efficiently and remains organized.

Job Duties:
  • Provides training to develop and mentor warehouse teams as needed or assigned for the following processes: Workflow, QC Test Procedures, System Prep, Parts Department, Service Bench, and the general inventory in our facility including R2.
  • Maintains a high level of teamwork within the warehouse to provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Works with management and other Shop Technicians to conduct proper equipment maintenance.
  • Maintains a clean and organized shop environment and assists in other shop activity as needed.
  • Assists pushing the equipment to various docking stations for outbound delivery.
  • Prepares/returns show equipment.
  • Packages and labels items appropriately for transportation or based on show requirements.
  • Works with operations to ensure proper substitutions or shortages when needed.
  • Receives sub-rented items into an order to ensure fulfillment.
  • Creates shipping manifest or carnet prior to shipping.
  • Loads/unloads trucks as needed.
  • Assists restocking delivered equipment in various locations throughout the warehouse.
  • Documents service in inventory system and reports all damaged equipment to operations.
  • Keeps detailed records of maintenance, QC, and items entered for repair.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time, ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends.

Position Requirements:
  • Ability to run a department within the warehouse.
  • Solid knowledge of R2
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to spend 100% of work time standing or moving in a 70,000+ square foot warehouse.
  • Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking, and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
  • Certified to drive sit down and standup forklift.
