Job summary

UFP Industries in Union City, GA is seeking a Shipping Receiving Supervisor to oversee scheduling and coordination of trucks and drivers, ensuring DOT compliance and company policies are followed. You will review driver logs, coordinate with sales and production, and oversee loading and shipping orders with external carriers.

You will manage freight bills, resolve transportation issues, and generate reports while controlling departmental expenses.

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Production Manager or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manages and schedules all outbound and inbound loads and coordinates with sales and production.
• Coordinates proper loading and shipping orders with S/R personnel.
• Sets up all loads to be shipped by common carrier with outside freight companies.
• Determines mode of transportation and selects the appropriate carrier.
• Audits and approves freight bills for payment.
• Files claims for any loss or damage on inventory and notifies plant management.
• Manages data on the data system.
