Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring for a Lead Shipper in Washington state. The role pays $26.00/hour with a 6:00am–4:00pm Monday–Friday schedule; Sundays may be required for inventory. Benefits include retirement, medical, dental, holidays, and paid time off.

The Lead Shipper will load/unload trailers, verify loads, operate material handling equipment, and maintain shipping yard records. FIFO compliance and Oracle system usage are required for inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 Years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
• Fork truck operation certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers, verify route loads, trailer reports, and maintain the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain records, report variances, and participate in cycle counts.
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jack and forklift.
• Troubleshoot packing equipment like label machines, tapers, palletizers.
• Maintain Receiving Log Book for raw ingredients and packaging materials with FIFO adherence.
• Ensure Oracle entries for received materials are updated same-day.
• Conduct biweekly inventory counts and coordinate with production.

Lead Shipper Great starting pay!

$ 26.00 / hour. Shift: 6:00am to 4:00pm - Monday to Friday ( Sunday may be required for inventory ).

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
• Operate material handling equipment; including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

Receiving Responsibilities

Continue to complete the Receiving Log Book for all raw ingredients and packaging materials (bags) that arrive at the dock. Ensure all raw ingredients have the appropriate 30, 60, or 90-day sticker applied upon receipt. Ensure all raw ingredients and packaging pallets have the Oracle item number clearly written on the outside of the pallet . For packaging materials, ensure the pallet is labeled with: The Oracle item number The total number of boxes on the pallet Always follow the First In, First Out (FIFO) process to ensure older materials(raw) are used before newer inventory.

Cleaning and Housekeeping Expectations

Clean the flour magnet every Wednesday . maintenance as soon as they are identified.

System and Inventory Responsibilities

Ensure all materials are received into Oracle on the same day they arrive . If there are any issues with a purchase order not appearing in the system, contact Savana for assistance. Complete any inventory count requests from Savana in a timely manner. Respond to emails promptly. Communicate with the production team regarding which silo should be used to ensure older flour is consumed before newer flour.

Inventory Responsibilities

Inventory is conducted every two weeks on Monday The expectation is that inventory counting becomes your primary focus at the start of the shift.
