Job summary

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in manufacturing supervision; experience in chemical settings and unions is preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing is a plus.
• Union experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient shift operations while ensuring employee safety, equipment protection, productivity, and quality.
• Monitor production processes, equipment, personnel, and resources to maintain workflow and identify opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement.
• Maximize production efficiency by effectively utilizing equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime, and overseeing preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain strong working relationships across departments and shifts while promoting teamwork and cooperation.
• Administer union workforce requirements in accordance with collective bargaining agreements, including overtime and call-in assignments.
• Stay current on manufacturing best practices, technologies, and industry standards through professional development and benchmarking.
