Job summary

Social Influence LLC in Manchester, CT is seeking an experienced press supervisor for a production role on sheetfed offset presses. The position oversees 1st–3rd shifts, maintains records, monitors inks and coatings, and ensures safety and quality standards while leading pressroom staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of sheetfed offset printing, strong color matching and registration skills, and a mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and interpret production tickets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial sheetfed offset printing experience.
• Experience leading or supervising pressroom employees.
• Strong understanding of four color process printing, PMS color matching, coatings, and print registration.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret job tickets, production layouts, and customer specifications.

Job description

Salary: up to $35 an hour

Shift:

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Equipment: KBA Rapida 106 sheetfed offset presses, including six and eight color configurations

Shift Differentials: 12% for second shift and 15% for third shift

Job Description

• Maintain accurate production records, quality documentation, and downtime reports

• Ensure compliance with safety and production standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial sheetfed offset printing experience

• Experience leading or supervising pressroom employees

• Strong understanding of four color process printing, PMS color matching, coatings, and print registration

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to interpret job tickets, production layouts, and customer specifications

• Experience with Komori, Heidelberg, RMGT, KBA, or similar sheetfed presses

• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with KBA Rapida sheetfed presses

• Experience with UV printing, aqueous coatings, and specialty substrates

• Technical training in printing technology or graphic communications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 50 lbs or more

• Ability to work safely around industrial printing equipment
