Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a hands-on Cleaning Crew Supervisor to lead sewer cleaning and jobsite prep activities. You will manage crews, equipment, and subcontractors while ensuring safety and adherence to project requirements.

Travel is a major component, with 50%+ overnight travel and occasional local trips. Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills are essential to maintain quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of field experience, including foreman/crew leader/supervisor roles.
• Sewer cleaning, jet/vac, CCTV inspection, trenchless rehab, or underground construction experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• OSHA safety knowledge and ability to read plans and maps.
• CDL may be preferred depending on assigned equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily sewer cleaning and jobsite preparation activities.
• Coordinate crew, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
• Ensure safety compliance with Company, OSHA, client, and site requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and equipment inspections.
• Direct field personnel per project plan and Vortex supervision standards.
• Operate or oversee sewer-cleaning equipment such as jet/vac trucks.
• Review plans, cleaning requirements, and jobsite conditions before work starts.
• Provide daily updates on safety, production, and progress; maintain reports and logs.
• Coordinate equipment mobilization, staging, traffic control, and site utilization.
• Monitor schedule and adjust activities to meet production goals.
