Lead Service Technician (Solace at Ballpark Village)

As a Lead Service Technician, you will work at one of our beautiful communities, representing Mark-Taylor by delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the upkeep of the physical asset and community grounds.

You're Excited About This Role Because You Will:

  • Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of ready units for the community.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning/heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical issues, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
  • Perform daily pool maintenance, ensuring proper chemical balance and safety.
  • Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
  • Inspect the property for safety hazards, correct hazards, and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of any issues.
  • Share on-call duties with the Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be available to respond to property needs in uniform/badge.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
  • Train and mentor other Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians.

We're Excited to Meet You! Ideally, You Will Bring:

  • Advanced knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA standards.
  • One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar).
  • Service-oriented attitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • 2+ years experience as an apartment turn technician, maintenance technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
  • Basic written and verbal English skills.

The starting hourly pay range for Lead Service Technicians is $26.00, depending on experience and community complexity. Our technicians typically work one or more weekend days. Service team members participate in a rotating on-call schedule with additional shift differential pay.
