Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Role Overview

The Lead Service Technician for Overhead Doors is responsible for leading a small team and maintaining equipment within our overhead doors division, with a broad understanding of our other divisions, including gates, access control, and CCTV, to ensure comprehensive project support.

Essential Job Functions
  • Repair and service overhead doors, access control equipment, gates, CCTV systems, and peripherals, including preventative maintenance.
  • Pull wire through attics, work with loop saws, and perform work on roadways.
  • Diagnose and resolve errors and technical problems.
  • Install new equipment.
  • Record service calls accurately, including time, service provided, and materials used.
  • Supervise a small service team and/or work independently on service calls.
  • Train team members from start to finish on jobsites.
  • Assign tasks, adhere to schedules, and communicate with customers and project managers.
  • Oversee loading/unloading of tools and supplies.
  • Maintain and submit job-related paperwork promptly.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles safely.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new products and operate in a safety-conscious manner.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and teamwork.
  • Maintain punctuality and flexibility in work hours.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years in gate automation, electrical/access control, or similar.
  • Knowledge of relay logic, electrical wiring, multimeter use.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with willingness to learn.
  • Strong time management and leadership skills.
  • Preferred understanding of access control and CCTV systems.
  • Ability to learn software/hardware for programming recording devices and access control panels.
  • Background check and drug screening required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Flexible shifts, including on-call rotation.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for long hours.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
Education and Certifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Work Environment

Fast-paced warehouse and field setting, requiring physical activity including lifting up to 100 pounds and long periods of standing and walking.

Additional Information
  • Hourly pay based on experience.
