Job summary

White Castle in Louisville is seeking a Lead Service Technician to assist the Facility Manager in maintaining and improving production equipment and facility maintenance programs. You will work with a team to meet downtime and efficiency targets while ensuring food safety.

The role requires significant maintenance experience, HVAC and electrical knowledge, and the ability to update maintenance software and manage parts orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Vocational School Degree required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ general maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge/experience in repairing and troubleshooting high speed automated production equipment, HVAC, and industrial electrical circuits.
• Knowledge in operating electronic software, and Ammonia refrigeration basics.
• Computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform the work outlined in work orders and the preventative maintenance program as assigned by the Service Supervisor.
• Write work orders when problems are found with facility or processing equipment.
• Evaluate and resolve problems on production and facility equipment during production and non-production hours while ensuring food safety.
• Assist the Facility Manager and/or Assistant Facility Manager in updating and posting the data and information on the maintenance software to keep work orders, spare parts inventory, vendor lists, and the preventative maintenance program current;
• Assist the Facility Manager in ordering and receiving parts.
• Supervise and train second shift Service Technician.
• Perform the basic duties of the Facility Manager or Assistant Facility Manager in their absence;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The role is responsible is to assist the Facility Manager and/or Assistant Facility Manager in executing and maintaining a maintenance program that ensures the proper maintenance of the production equipment and facility. Operate as part of a team with the goal of meeting downtime and efficiency targets.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Perform the work outlined in work orders and the preventative maintenance program as assigned by the Service Supervisor;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolong periods of standing 50% and sitting 50%;

• Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and climbing; ability to lift 50 pounds; and

• Ability to wear hearing protection and safety glasses occasionally.
