Job summary

SAM Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician (Hot & Cold Side) in Jacksonville, FL to troubleshoot and repair commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. You’ll start your day from home and drive a fully equipped company vehicle.

This full-time, in-person role offers Port-to-Port Pay, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training. Applicants should have hands-on maintenance experience; EPA certification is a plus, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair is required.
• HVAC/refrigeration experience and EPA certification are preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Comfortable using tablets and smartphones for documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and random testing.

Responsibilities

• Use a company vehicle to start and end each day from home.
• Manage work orders and documentation with an iPad.

What You’ll Do

• Start your day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle
• Get paid from the moment you start your engine (Port-to-Port Pay!)
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support
• Focus on service—not sales. Our office team handles quotes, parts, and billing

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair (required)
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification (preferred, not required)
• Strong technical and electrical skills—able to read wiring diagrams and manuals
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and other tech tools
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing
• Most importantly: a curious mind and a willingness to learn
