Job summary

SAM Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician (Hot & Cold Side) for an in-person, full-time role based in Jacksonville, FL. You’ll diagnose and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment, starting each day from a home base and driving a company vehicle.

You will operate with port-to-port pay, use an iPad for work orders, and join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and top-tier service. EPA certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair required.
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Proficient with tablets and mobile devices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening; random testing.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call schedule.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support.
• Focus on service, not sales; quotes handled by office.
• Be on an on-call rotating schedule with overtime as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Start your day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle
• Get paid from the moment you start your engine (Port-to-Port Pay!)
• Use a company‑provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support
• Focus on service—not sales. Our office team handles quotes, parts, and billing

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair (required)
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification (preferred, not required)
• Strong technical and electrical skills—able to read wiring diagrams and manuals
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and other tech tools
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on‑call schedule
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and participate in random testing
• Most importantly: a curious mind and a willingness to learn
