Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Northbrook, IL, is seeking a friendly Food Service Associate to provide quick, efficient service of meals to residents and guests. You will communicate orders to the kitchen, deliver meals, and help maintain a clean dining environment.

No previous experience is required, but Serv Safe certification is preferred. You will join a team focused on hospitality, excellence, appreciation, respect & teamwork, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but previous Food Service experience is a plus.
• Serv Safe or other required local, county or state certifications.
• You have the ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• You take pride in the quality and presentation of food that you have helped to prepare, as well as the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas that you work within.
• You have a generous amount of patience and the ability to effectively communicate with many different types of personalities.

Responsibilities

• Accept food orders, communicate to kitchen and deliver food and beverage to residents and/or guests in a timely manner.
• Actively buss and reset tables.
• Deliver food to residents' rooms as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary condition of work areas, dishware, and equipment.
• Manager servers and utility workers as needed.
