Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking a Lead Server at Oakmont of Novato to deliver gracious service to residents, family members, and visitors. The role is full-time, offering a competitive hourly pay and a strong benefits package.

You will take accurate orders, manage POS entries, set up and break down tables, and uphold high standards of etiquette and safety while collaborating with teammates and departments.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but training is provided.
• Must be at least 16 years old with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with staff, residents and families.
• Pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE requirements may apply per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Ensure proper serving etiquette and course management.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer).
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
