Applied Intuition, Inc. in Sunnyvale is seeking a senior Sensor Validation Engineer to lead validation across Lidar, Radar, Cameras, and Ultrasonics for SDS products. You will refine ML and physical models to improve fidelity of simulations and ensure high-accuracy perception for autonomous systems.

The role requires a deep expertise in sensor validation, Linux environments, and sensor driver development, with collaboration across engineering teams to align physical data with synthetic models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/ME/Robotics or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in sensor validation or related field.
• Experience with Python for data analysis and automation of validation test suites.
• Experience with Cameras, Lidar or Radar sensor validation under diverse conditions.
• Linux/Unix environment, CLI, shell scripting, and managing software dependencies for autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation and characterization for Sensor Simulation and Self-Driving System products across industries.
• Execute validation protocols for Lidar, Radar, Camera, and Ultrasonic sensors across diverse environments.
• Improve fidelity of synthetic simulations by developing ML and physical models of sensing systems and environments.
• Conduct physical sensor performance validation for SDS stacks, comparing hardware data with simulated models.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to bridge physical data and synthetic models for high-accuracy perception.
