Job summary

Micron Technology in Manassas, VA seeks a Semiconductor Equipment Owner/Engineer to lead tool performance, reliability, and lifecycle management within an assigned process area. This role partners with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and vendors to enable safe, stable, and high‑yield production across the fab.

You will own maintenance strategies, analyze equipment data, and drive continuous improvement while mentoring technicians and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related field degree.
• Hands-on experience owning and sustaining semiconductor equipment.
• Experience trouble-shooting and resolving complex semiconductor equipment issues.
• Experience working multi-functionally with facilities, process teams, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment performance, reliability, and lifecycle management for assigned toolsets.
• Develop and complete maintenance strategies to improve uptime, yield, and cost performance.
• Lead trouble-shooting efforts for complex equipment issues and recurring failures.
• Support tool installations, upgrades, qualifications, and production ramps.
• Analyze equipment data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with vendors to resolve technical issues and implement long‑term solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Mentor technicians and support technical skill development within the team.
