Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Nashville seeks a Superintendent to plan, forecast, lead, direct, and coordinate Self-Perform Operations (SPO) drywall and general trades on active projects. You will oversee adherence to contract scope, safety, schedule, quality, and production planning.

Responsibilities include sequencing work, managing labor, tracking progress, liaising with Owners and engineers, and applying lean methods like Last Planner System to improve productivity and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of interior systems, tools, and equipment used in the trade.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, scopes, and schedules.
• Experience with lean principles and practical scheduling methods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, lead, direct, and coordinate SPO staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on drywall and trades projects.
• Sequence work to meet schedule and incorporate SPO activities into the project plan.
• Monitor production and progress, adjust labor and crews to boost productivity.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to contract scope and documents.
• Develop relationships with labor sources and manage field issues with stakeholders.
