Job summary
Definitive Electronics in Jupiter, FL is seeking a Lead Security Technician to lead installation, programming, and testing of wired and wireless security systems. This role requires hands-on field work and the ability to manage projects from start to finish.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the alarm/security industry with programming experience on Elk, Honeywell, and DSC platforms, plus a valid driver\'s license. In-person, full-time hours with comprehensive benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in the alarm/security industry.
- Programming experience with Elk, Honeywell, and DSC systems.
- Valid driver\'s license is required.
- Ability to read blueprints and work on construction sites.
- Strong field programming and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Read & interpret blueprints.
- Lead security projects from start to finish.
- Install, program, and test wired and wireless devices.
- Activate new systems for monitoring.
- Perform system takeovers.
- Documentation: read, execute, update as needed.
- Troubleshooting.
- Complete post-installation checklists.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor and respond promptly to alerts.
