United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer for Starlink to influence security across product lines. You will design cryptographic services, secure boot, and security features for Starlink hardware and software, collaborating with multiple engineering teams to ship reliable security solutions.

The role requires strong software development in Python/C++/Golang, experience with OS/security, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM field with 8+ years in security software development; or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang for security software development.
• Experience designing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Incorporate security into factory processes and provide network services.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and guidance.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
• Support our mission to provide secure Internet to underserved communities.
