Job summary

Athena is seeking a Head of InfoSec Operations to lead day-to-day cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat detection, and risk reduction. The role interfaces with IT, Eng, DevOps, Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Customer Success, and includes client security inquiries, due diligence, and vendor risk discussions.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, calm under pressure, and capable of cross-functional collaboration to align security strategy with business needs across a global client base.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity or related fields.
• 3-5+ years in leadership of security operations or incident response.
• Strong hands-on experience with security operations and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead security operations, monitoring, and incident response.
• Serve as incident commander for major cybersecurity events.
• Oversee vulnerability management, risk reduction, and remediation tracking.
• Evaluate and optimize security tooling and architecture across cloud environments.
• Provide client-facing security posture guidance and documentation.
• Develop executive security reporting and playbooks.
