TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Security Installation Technician to oversee installation teams on commercial security projects. You will install, terminate, configure, test, and commission security systems, read blueprints, and provide onsite leadership on varied commercial sites.

Based in Norfolk, VA, this contract-to-hire role requires hands-on expertise with access control, IP video, intrusion, and IP networking, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years installing, servicing, and programming commercial security systems.
• Minimum 3 years leading projects or supervising installation teams.
• Experience with access control, IP video, intrusion, IP cameras, and alarm systems.
• Working knowledge of IP networking and strong troubleshooting skills.

Lead Security Installation Technician

Location: Commercial project sites throughout the area

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview

We are seeking a Lead Security Installation Technician to join a growing team supporting enterprise-level security projects. This position is ideal for an experienced Lead Technician or a strong Level II Technician looking to take the next step into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams on commercial security projects

• Install, terminate, configure, test, and commission security systems

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documentation

• Supervise project activities and provide onsite leadership

• Coordinate project workflow and track installation progress

• Perform troubleshooting and system diagnostics

• Support customer systems through remote troubleshooting when necessary

• Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction throughout project execution

• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members

• Work independently with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience installing, servicing, and programming commercial security systems

• Minimum 3 years of experience leading projects or supervising installation teams

• Experience with:

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
