Job summary

Suno in New York, NY is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to help build the security foundation across our product and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role: you’ll set technical direction, dive into code and the cloud, and help shape the security team that will grow around you.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering with deep expertise in at least two areas (AppSec, cloud/infrastructure security, IR) and credibility in the third.
• A builder who creates security capabilities and sets direction, not only operates established programs.
• Strong cross-functional partnership to enable the business to build safely.

Responsibilities

• Own security architecture and the roadmap across product and cloud environments; threat-modeling to focus effort where it matters most.
• Elevate AppSec: secure the SDLC, code-review guardrails, manage dependencies and secrets, pre-production security testing.
• Drive cloud security: IAM and least-privilege, account structure, network boundaries, data-access controls.
• Lead incident response; participate in on-call rotation and act as senior responder during incidents.
• Mentor and shape the security team and its operational processes.
