Job summary

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, seeks a hands-on Lead Security Engineer to own security across our global operations. You’ll secure infrastructure, run access audits, build controls, review systems and code, and help investigate incidents with a voice in policy shaping.

A growing part of the role is AI security—managing Claude configurations, vetting integrations, and enforcing guardrails—while aligning with J-SOX, NIST 800-171, CMMC 2.0, and SOC 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on expertise across IAM, infrastructure/cloud security, governance, and incident response.
• Experience securing AWS/Azure and implementing RBAC in Entra ID/Okta.
• Experience with SOC 2, NIST 800-53/800-171, CMMC 2.0, and J-SOX evidence gathering.

Responsibilities

• Act as hands-on security lead across IT and engineering and drive security execution.
• Define and enforce security policies, standards, and governance with leadership.
• Lead threat detection, incident response, and escalation for complex issues.
• Secure infrastructure across physical networking and cloud, including IAM and access policies.
• Run user access audits, reviews, and manage role-based access changes.
• Oversee AI security including Claude configurations and vet new AI integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering to bake security into software and infrastructure.
