Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Senior or Lead Security Engineer (Detection & Response) to build next-generation detection and response workflows. You will own telemetry, detection, and investigations across AWS, identities, endpoints, SaaS, and data-center infra, shaping how we monitor and respond to threats.

You will lead incident response, automate repetitive security work, and collaborate with IT/Engineering to fix underlying issues while advancing AI-enabled security capabilities across a rapidly

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in detection engineering, security engineering or incident response.
• Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS) and monitoring for unauthorized activity.
• Solid networking fundamentals and knowledge of attacker lateral movement.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and automation workflows.
• Proven track record in real incident investigations and remediation.
• Scripting or programming skills, ideally Python, with automation focus.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR or equivalent platforms.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and proactive security automation.

Responsibilities

• Own security monitoring and detection across AWS, identity, endpoints, SaaS, networks and data center environments.
• Build and maintain telemetry/logging pipelines to detect incidents and improve coverage.
• Lead security investigations and incident response from detection through containment and recovery.
• Hunt for threats, identify visibility gaps, and improve controls and design.
• Develop automations to boost detection, investigation, and response, leveraging AI tools.
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering to translate findings into preventative controls.
• Develop and test incident response playbooks and improve response capability.
• Implement AI agents and security bots to assist monitoring and operations.
