Ladders is seeking a Lead Security Architect to shape application security across the organization. This remote US-based role partners with stakeholders to translate business strategy into practical security requirements and drive secure-by-design practices throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in threat modeling, security architecture, and DevSecOps, with a proven ability to influence design decisions and strengthen the overall security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience including 5+ years in security architecture.
• Proven threat modeling and application security assessments.
• Experience integrating security controls into SDLC and DevSecOps.
• Experience conducting architecture and design reviews for enterprise apps.
• Remediation of security vulnerabilities and guidance on secure design.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Security Architect to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will shape application security architecture across business segments, helping ensure secure-by-design practices are embedded early and consistently throughout the development lifecycle. The Lead Security Architect will serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, translating business strategy into practical security requirements and guiding decisions that reduce risk. The ideal candidate will influence architecture, code remediation, and process automation to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $142,300 – $195,700 annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform application security assessments and integrate secure design patterns into the SDLC
• Evaluate business strategies to determine security architecture requirements
• Advise on solutions that address security risks across business segments
• Analyze variable factors to determine the best course of action
• Serve as a single point of contact for business segments and build strong working relationships
• Communicate secure development principles to relevant stakeholders
• Enhance security designs to minimize post-development vulnerabilities
• Influence remediation of security deficiencies in both design and code
• Standardize and automate applicable security processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years focused on security architecture
• Proven experience in threat modeling and application security assessments
• Experience integrating security controls into modern SDLC and DevSecOps environments
• Experience conducting architecture and design reviews for enterprise applications
• Ability to remediate security vulnerabilities and advise on secure design practices
• Familiarity with securing APIs, web applications, and cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
