Job summary

ALM First Group in Dallas seeks a mid-level investment professional to source, analyze, and trade securitized credit ideas across idiosyncratic, relative value, and macro themes.

The role supports portfolio positioning, hedging, and risk analytics, partnering with the analytics team and serving as a subject-matter expert to client service and sales teams; adherence to firm policies and regulatory guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in asset management or related field.
• Experience trading securitized products.
• Experience with options, derivatives, and advanced hedging techniques.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Intex, and related analytics platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and analytical rigor.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline; advanced degree and/or professional designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source, analyze, and execute investment ideas across securitized credit products, including idiosyncratic, relative value, and macro thematic trades.
• Contribute to portfolio positioning decisions for relevant portfolio mandates and fund vehicles.
• Formulate ideas for hedging macro factor risks.
• Monitor and analyze daily and weekly portfolio analytics to inform investment decisions.
• Partner with the analytics team to enhance risk and portfolio management processes.
• Contribute to economic, market, investment-thesis, and relative-value research and commentary.
• Serve as subject-matter expert for the client service and sales team.
• Ensure investment activities are conducted in accordance with firm policies, investment guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
