Job summary

Silver Bay Seafoods LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Kent Warehouse & Labeling operation in Kent, WA. You will lead a 17-person hourly team across four labeling lines, focusing on safe, high-quality storage, labeling, packing, and shipping of canned salmon on-site.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, labor planning, and regulatory compliance with BRCGS and FDA standards, plus allergen control and label accuracy during every changeover.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of direct supervisory experience in hourly production, packaging, or warehouse teams.
• Experience in a food-regulated manufacturing environment with documented food safety requirements.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• HACCP certification preferred or ability to obtain on hire.
• Experience with temporary staffing agencies preferred.
• BRCGS/GFSI knowledge or Lean/5S background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture with risk assessments and monthly safety audits.
• Direct daily operations across four labeling lines and lead safety meetings.
• Monitor performance against targets and adjust staffing/resources as needed.
• Coordinate changeovers and plan maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Develop labor schedules and manage overtime prudently.
• Forecast temporary staffing needs and maintain shift continuity.
• Ensure GMP, hygiene, allergen controls, and label accuracy.
• Maintain FDA Salmon Control Plan documentation and audit readiness.
• Record daily production activity and ensure accurate reporting.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and development for employees.
• Lead 5S activities and drive continuous improvement.
