Job summary

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) seeks an SDE II to lead the Genealogy platform development, shaping data storage, a knowledge graph, and analytics for billions of daily inventory events. You will architect scalable storage, APIs, and analytics while ensuring data security and compliance across the fulfillment network.

You will collaborate with engineers, define the team's roadmap, and drive best practices, mentoring junior staff as you advance big data capabilities in Amazon's inventory

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable solution.
• Collaborating with engineers to influence strategy and roadmap.
• Helping drive system architecture and best practices, coaching junior engineers.
• Background in Big data analytics and infrastructure to store TBs of data/events per day.
