Job summary
Calibr-Skaggs Institute for Innovative Medicines, part of Scripps Research, seeks a Principal Scientist in Protein Immunotherapy to translate protein therapies from ideation to first-in-human trials. You will work on multi-specific antibodies to control immune pathways in cancer and inflammatory diseases, with opportunities to explore broader portfolio ideas.
The role requires leading entry-level researchers, training, and delivering experimental results through collaborative scientific effort
Qualifications
- PhD strongly preferred with 10+ years of industry experience.
- Hands-on experience in primary human immune cells and immuno-oncology.
- Experience with protein engineering and antibody design/characterization.
- Strong documentation, collaboration, and cross-functional skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute immune profiling projects and assays.
- Develop antibody-based therapeutics including bispecifics.
- Lead a team of PhD-level scientists and present findings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage project goals.
