Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Next Generation Ingredients R&D team in Glenview, IL seeks a Principal Scientist to lead lipid-containing ingredient technologies and shelf-life improvements across North America.

You will design and scale-up emulsions and dairy fat applications, mentor teams, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and develop scalable pathways from bench to commercial scale, with emphasis on oxidative stability and cleaner-label systems.

Qualifications

• Strong background in ingredient science and ingredient technology development with depth in lipid-containing systems.
• Experience leading experiments at bench and pilot scale, with plant trials preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and improve fat-driven performance and shelf-life in complex food systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead lipid-driven ingredient technology initiatives from hypotheses to formulation options for emulsions and dairy fat applications.
• Prioritize ingredient platforms across North American portfolio focusing on fats/oils functionality and oxidative stability.
• Design and execute stability and shelf-life studies; analyze data and assess technical risk.
