Job summary

You will guide cross-functional teams through design controls, risk management and validation, set milestones and budgets, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with marketing and engineering. Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in research or engineering, product and material development; overall 5+ years in consumer products.
• Proven ability to resolve complex problems for development initiatives.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead product systems development for multiple projects across the FDA Class II product development cycle.
• Learn and execute Product Development processes: design controls, risk management, specification management and validation.
• Guide cross-functional quality, engineering, research and manufacturing teams through design control processes.
• Lead development of product milestones, budgets, timelines, and resource forecasts for assigned projects.
• Ensure development and execution of product specifications and quality plans appropriate for project phase.
• Facilitate discussions with marketing and design teams regarding claims and aesthetics.
• Mentor junior members of the product development team.
• Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Identify root causes and solve complex problems to achieve objectives.
• Build mastery of medical device development principles and test methods.
