Job summary

Cascade School District in Washington is seeking a Managerial/Supervisory/Director of Food Service to lead the district-wide nutrition program and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and district policy.

This leadership position oversees menu planning, purchasing procedures, food preparation and serving for a district-wide program. A valid Food Handler's Certificate and driver license are required, with 230 contract days and salary range $95,000–$105,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education experience, with academic major in specific areas; OR Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors; OR Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and at least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience; OR Associate's degree with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of planning, preparing, cooking, serving foods, and managing a large school lunch program with required forms.
• Knowledge of requisitioning food, purchasing procedures, and state/federal child nutrition rules.
• Must possess valid Food Handler's Certificate.
• Must possess valid Oregon Driver's License for driving/coverage.

Responsibilities

• Performs managerial and supervisory duties operating a district-wide food service operation.
• Collaborates with school, district, and community to run a compliant nutrition program.
