Job summary

Spring Lake Park Schools is seeking a Nutrition Program Kitchen Manager for Park Terrace Elementary. You will oversee all aspects of the School Nutrition Program, including food safety, batch cooking and serving, and lead a team of four part-time associates.

The role emphasizes training, audits, and alignment with USDA SNP/SFSP guidelines, with transition duties across SNP and SFSP seasons. Strong supervisory, organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with supervisory experience preferred; scratch cooking experience beneficial.
• Certified Food Protection Manager license current; knowledge of SNP/SFSP guidelines.
• Strong communication, public speaking and leadership abilities; ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for the School Nutrition Program at Park Terrace, ensuring food safety, sanitation and proper meal production.
• Lead and train four part-time staff; manage records, audits and compliance with USDA guidelines.
• Support SFSP, including training, menu development, allergy management and inventory control.
• Collaborate with Director of Nutrition Services and build effective working relationships with staff and vendors.
