Job summary

North Penn School District is seeking an Elementary School Nutrition Services Assistant Team Leader to support daily kitchen operations, assist the Team Leader, and ensure compliance with food safety standards across multiple openings (Inglewood, Nash, Knapp Elementary).

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, ServSafe certification preferred, strong communication, and the ability to supervise staff, manage cash handling, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation standards, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating daily kitchen operations, including food production and service flow.
• Maintain accurate sanitation and HACCP documentation and regulate safety standards.
• Support Team Leader and supervise staff in the Team Leader's absence.
• Perform cashiering duties and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Ensure accurate meal counts and proper cash handling procedures.
• Attend meetings and communicate with school administration and SNS leadership.
