Job summary

North Penn School District seeks a School Nutrition Services Assistant Team Leader to provide leadership in the kitchen, coordinate food production, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. This role supports daily kitchen operations and acts as the second-in-command in the Team Leader role.

You will assist in coordinating meals, supervise staff, and maintain accurate records while delivering courteous service to students and staff in a school environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards.
• Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items per standardized recipes and production requirements.
• Organize preparation and serving areas for efficiency and cleanliness.
• Serve food with proper portioning and utensils.
• Perform cashiering duties including POS operation and cash handling.
• Provide courteous customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Maintain sanitation per local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follow federal and state school nutrition regulations and guidelines.
