Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN degree and current RN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in clinical or educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of Connecticut school health regulations, HIPAA, and FERPA.
• Current CPR/AED certification for the Professional Rescuer.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and district leadership.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring health compliance and quality care.
• Provide direct nursing care, including illness assessment and emergency response.
• Develop and manage Individualized Health Care Plans for students with complex needs.
• Coordinate health screenings and immunization compliance.
• Collaborate with school administrators and healthcare partners to support student wellness.
• Manage the annual budget for the school health office.
• Maintain accurate student health records and report state data.
• Provide mentorship and orientation for nursing staff.
