Job summary

Cleburne ISD is seeking a Support Nurse to implement a comprehensive school health program, provide direct health services to students, and promote preventive health practices. The role reports to the Health Services Coordinator/ Principal and requires leadership in nursing practices within the district.

The incumbent will ensure compliance with Texas Nursing Practice Act, coordinate screenings, mentor campus nurses, and contribute to employee wellness programs and training.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
Certified by the Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
Current BLS Certification.
AHA CPR Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct daily operations of Health Services staff.
Maintain communicable disease prevention and control per regulations and district policies.
Develop, implement, and evaluate Health Services goals and objectives.
Mentor and support Health Services staff including RNs, LVNs, and aides.
Provide health education and ensure technology supports Health Services.
